Mount TBR Reading Challenge…

I’m well on my way with this reading challenge. What a good idea to get after the books I already own with a purpose! Haha! I’ve read three so far…

The first is a fun mystery by Rhys Bowen, Her Royal Spyness.

Lady Victoria Georgiana Charlotte Eugenie, 34th in line for the throne, is flat broke. She?s bolted Scotland, her greedy brother, and her fish-faced betrothed for London. The place where she?ll experience freedom, learn life lessons aplenty, do a bit of spying for HRH?oh, and find a dead Frenchman in her tub. Now her new job is to clear her long family name.

The second is book two in this series by Rhys Bowen,  A Royal Pain

Poor Lady Georgiana-thirty-fourth in line to the throne-has nothing to serve her Bavarian princess houseguest, even though the Queen of England has requested that she entertain her. Then there’s the matter of the body in the bookshop and the princess’s unwitting involvement with the Communist party. It’s enough to drive a girl mad.

I’ve started the third in this series, but today I picked up a lovely little book my daughter-in-law gave me for Christmas, Curlicues

I adore this book! It takes me back to childhood, this is exactly the kind of book I loved. And in fact, this book was originally the property of the Rhorerstown Elementary School Library. This book is out of print (sadly) and new copies are $500+! This is a quaint story of two little Pug puppies in a pet store that is going out of business. They are sold to two different homes… will they ever be reunited? I had thought of making a craft project with this book, but after reading it no such dire consequence will be its fate! Best Book Ever!

Happy reading!
